Sufiah graduated from the University of Malaya and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in October 2021. She subsequently obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Syariah Law and Practice from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and completed her Master of Commercial Law at the University of Malaya in 2024. 

She commenced her legal career with Messrs. Lee & Partners, where she gained experience across a broad range of matters, including civil litigation, conveyancing, banking documentation, matrimonial proceedings, probate and estate administration, and criminal matters.  

In November 2022, Sufiah joined Messrs. Zaid Ibrahim Suflan T H Liew & Partners, where she practised primarily in civil and commercial litigation and dispute resolution and in August 2026, Sufiah joined Haris Ibrahim Kandiah Partnership as a Senior Legal Associate in the Dispute Resolution/Litigation Department.  

Sufiah’s practice encompasses insurance defence and subrogation claims, tortious and contractual disputes, defamation, judicial review, insolvency and winding-up proceedings, post-arbitration proceedings, and claims involving public authorities. She has also handled matters involving substantial documentary review, complex legal research, expert evidence and contested issues of law and fact. 

Sufiah has acted in proceedings before the Subordinate Courts, High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court, and has also conducted appeal hearings in non-contentious matters before the Appellate Division of the Court of Appeal. She has experience managing disputes from inception through trial and appeal.
